Update : We (My partner and I) have maybe come to the conclusion I slept funny and also caught a draft on my shoulder muscle which has then let to this pain down my arm and breast. Hoping this is the case 🤞The pain has gone down a lot and more in my shoulder area

Hi all,

(Endometriosis diagnosed via Lap, no children, irregular periods)

This is something that's causing me a lot of worry so just just some help from you all.

About 2 days ago I woke up with really bad breast pain in one boob and potential swelling? The pain was radiating to my arm. I was also feeling really nauseous, dizzy, lightheadedness and trembling. Of course I got extremely worried about all sorts from breast cancer to infection. (No lump found, just a bit of swelling)

The pain has gone down a bit now and taking Ibuprofen, I still feel nauseous and dizzy, and keep getting really anxious about it.

As of today I've had really upset stomach and going to the toilet a lot (7 times?) And I'm not sure if I'm just having a really bad endo flair up or something else?

As I write this I have started to get lower back pain and abdomen pain, please any reassurance would be a massive help with my anxiety.

Thank you

Charliee

Hi my lovely, dont panic. However during the 11 months of flare up, 9 hospital admission and then finally discharging myself from gynae and referring myself to a endo specialist I am endo free since Jan 2020. November 2018 when I started getting breast pains, more on the left and within the nipple it was so painful some days it will come on so sharp. So I went to the gp and in Jan 2019, she checked and then said to me to give it another 3months if it continues she will do a referral to Middlesex breast screening hospital, 3 months on I started getting more pain on the left breast. During this time I was not having any period, as my gynae told me to have the pill back to back to help me save my eggs as I was still waiting for a surgery date.

April I went for a breast screening it was all so scary as I didnt tell anyone as I did not want to worry them. I went in had my two screening done they said there is lumps but these are muscle fat. They showed me the scans here and there and showed me that the lumps appeared clear which indicates they are not cancerous. She also recommended me to take evening primrose capsules slightly high dose first then gradually low. I got them from Holland and barrett and amazingly the pain has all gone it took about 4months for me to realise it had all gone. Dfoz invest in some evening primrose capsules.

Regarding pain, have you tried to purchase a tens machine? its amazing for lower back pain. I got mine from ebay it's a Hillington brand and rechargeable which is better than battery operated. I normally use it for an hr then fine for a few days.

I'm not sure how long you been having endo pain, Mine started Sep 2018 I suffered one week of lower pelvic pain and was rushed to hospital as my temp went up to 39.8 within 3 days of stay they done a transvaginal scan found I had endometriosis it was stuck behind my uterus hence why I was in agony. it felt like a time bomb was going to explode that's how the pain was.

In Aug 2019 I had my surgery and now been given the all clear in Jan 2020.

The pain in my breast is mostly located in one area and although no lumps ect there is what feels like something is swollen. And painful to the touch?

I'm unable to go to the gps or hospital as I'm homeless and stuck in a different country, sleeping on sofas ect.

I believe the nausea and dizziness is due to my anxiety but I just dont know what to do. No medical insurance and with the corona virus as well.

Please what should I do? Is this just all because i might have slept funny? Or is it just more period?

I've had pre period and during period breast soreness before but nothing like this..

I'm so sorry to hear to this😔

Yes it sounds like its definitely to do with anxiety which is building your body to feel like this.

The medical profession did tell me that there is a type of breast pain that ladies get prior to starting their period, where breast will feel tender and for some look bigger and this is related to hormone in the body. But she definitely mentioned about this to me which made sense for me when I was in my teens but if you are able to get hold of any one who can buy you Evening Primrose capsules that will support you on the pain for sure it is to balance out hormone.

Which country are you in?

Are you ovulating? I get painful breasts when ovulating, sometimes one, sometimes both. They feel swollen, heavy and I can’t bear anything to touch them. I take starflower oil as that’s what my breast consultant advised. These definitely work for me 😊 xx

It may not be endo. Could be a cyst or an abscess (if it’s hot to touch). If the pain is continuing and you have a fever, call your GP. Don’t panic - it’s unlikely to be serious but should possibly be looked at.

Thank you for your reply, unable to go to any medical professional as I'm in a foreign country that I'm not registered in and I'm homeless so kinda stuck, especially with the virus going around.

If it helps and( I'm not saying it is )but I suffer with ovarian cysts and if I have one my boobs kill! They burn and I cant put a bra on. I went to a few breast clinics for screening and nothing was there. I felt like I was going mad but it was good news! They gave me an info pack etc about potential ovarian cysts or hormonal changes turned out it was a cyst and they said I could use ibuprofen gel or anti inflammatory jel on my breasts it really helped! But would say keep a diary might just be hormonal which that gel helps also the cheap one is just as good as the expensive stuff x
