Hi Everyone, I’m currently on a waiting list for a laparoscopy to determine endometriosis as had 2 ruptured ovarian cysts and endometriosis was found during the surgery which took over a year to be referred to the endometriosis team as doctors just weren’t interested and kept palming me off with painkillers.
It’s a 20 week waiting list and I’m about going stir crazy with the symptoms, I have a dull ache in my lower right hand side and then a sharp pain which causes my stomach to bloat nearly everyday... is this normal? I feel so dismissed by doctors it’s unreal
Anyone else been in a similar situation? Thanks x

I am waiting upon a full hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis and your waiting list is much better than mine. I was told it will be approximately 8 months due to lack of staff to carry out surgical procedures. I'm into my 3rd month of the waiting list.
I too had the same problem. It was almost like they were just telling me to go away and deal with it.
My pain has been severe, very debilitating where I have not even been able to stand up. If I ate my bowel would place pressure on the growths so I was only able to tolerate liquid. My stomach is always bloated so I believe the pain (which varies from person to person) and the bloating is all normal symptoms.
