Hi ladies - I usually post in the fertility community but we're currently on a TTC break and this is a v much endo-related question. Since 2015 I have had 2 laparoscopies (one exploratory and the other extensive excision). Frequently, my lap scars become really itchy and raised red lumps; but they go away within 30mins from starting (this will happen 2-3 times a month and at varying times during my cycle).
Anyway, for the last two months, the first day my period starts I have been getting a really strange "itching" that feels like it's IN my ovaries (no where near the scars). Obviously, I can't scratch at my ovaries, but as you can imagine it's so frustrating to have an internal "itch" but no way to relieve it. My ovaries then feel like they burn and then after about an hour or so, the pain subsides. I have recently had an MRI scan (my follow up to discuss results isn't until April) and at my last internal ultrasound, the nurse said she couldn't see any endometriomas and put the "itchy pain" down to scar tissue.
Anyone else ever experience this or something similar??

I get the exact same thing!! I’m on my 2nd laparoscopy as well, first in 2016 and second was done on Friday just gone. I know exactly what you mean with the “itch” I get it on the scar on my side and the pubic bone, never in my belly button one as well as ovaries and get it in the recent incision on pubic bone as it’s healing. Can’t help with saying what causes it as I have no idea either but your not alone! Glad someone else understands when I say I get a weird itchy feeling as people just think I’m crazy when I tell them🤦🏼♀️
