Anyone else get like a cramp, dull ache before their period? Mine seems to range from a week before to a couple of days before.
I’m currently lay in bed with this feeling and a hot water bottle isn’t helping at all. I go away in a few days for another tournament and I don’t want to be in pain as I can’t take painkillers during as they make me sleepy and I get drug tested 🙄

Are you on any contraception? Try and have a period every 3 months because that helped me and now I only have to worry about being in extreme pain about 4 times a year instead of 12 times a year x
Yep - common to get pelvic pain a week before period - can often be as bad as the actual period pain. I find castor oil packs really soothe the area and reduce bloating and pain. I buy cold pressed organic castor oil online, smear about 1-2 tbsps on my pelvis and massage it in, then add some more, then lay on 2 small sheets of white towel (about 30x30cm each) then put on a hot water bottle and leave on all night. It's really relaxing but gets to work on the pain straightaway and helps to flush out stale blood (which in itself is inflammatory) in the peritoneum and reduce inflammation generally - and boost lymphatic drainage. I use them intermittently during the month to reduce the pain, and you can use them alternate days or eg 3 days on, 3 days off. Best to Google it - and see what suits you best. The castor oil is absorbed (with the help of heat) deep into the tissues and boosts T lymphocytes in the pelvic area, to help control inflammation.
Is it so painful?! I have these pains that come for one second and then They disappear for a while and get them again but they are not painful and I don’t use hot water bottles because they are not so painful
