Well went into have my lap at 12.30 come 15.00 till waiting to down at 16.00 was told the first lady’s op had run on and that mine was cancelled now have to wait for them to re book it!
Was starving & so fed up as arranged the time off work etc it’s so frustrating 😢 I asked about the other 2 ladies who were waiting after me but they still had theirs scheduled as they were shorter procedures apparently.
So now got to wait for another appointment hopefully not too long.
Was asked if I wanted the mirena coil fitted at same time as lap i take pill back to back at mo and so have no periods what’s any ones views on coil?
Thanks

Thank u, I am currently on Rigevidon which consultant today said I shouldn’t stay on this one and change to different one but can’t remember which one but felt she was pushing towards coil.
Hi I had merina didn’t work for me at all . I had the first one which was out of place from start so when I had my lap they took it out an fitted another one, only when I came around I was in absolute agony I knew something was wrong soon as I woke up, they just kept dismissing it after two month of none stop pain I got them to remove it an as soon as they did the pain went away. Don’t want to put you off as it might work for you as a few of my cousins have had it for ages now an they’ve had no problems with it x
Ah, this happened to me and I ended up with a massive migraine from not being able to eat and drink all day. I hope you get your lap soon.
I am on the Mirena coil but the first 12 months of having it were awful - one long period, with about 2 days per month of not bleeding! It’s been great for the following 2 years so I feel much better in it than before as I had mega heavy periods and lots of pain before. I think you should go with your gut feeling on the pill/coil.
