Endo near belly button

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone could help. I had a lap 9 months ago and healed well from it.

Over the past few months around my period I’ve noticed pain if my belly button area is pressed. It’s not been overly painful and goes away quickly, it’s just not something I’ve really paid a lot of attention to. However the last 2 days I’ve had this same pain but it is really quite painful, if I bend over, move to stand up, even if I press higher on my stomach I feel the pain in/behind my belly button.

Wondering if anyone has had similar?

Thanks x

I have the same pain! Did they cut you open at the bellybutton for your lap because for me, my surgeon said this would most likely be scar tissue x

Yeah I did! So does your surgeon think you have endo on your scar tissue or just that your scar tissue is causing pain?

X

Sorry I forgot to reply! I haven't been online. I've since had it confirmed that for me, it's not endo but a small amount of scar tissue. I think I was just noticing the pain more during my period but it actually hurts quite randomly.

Scar tissue is harmless a lot of the time but can clearly cause a lot of distress in certain cases! Hope you're doing well x

Yes ... I had this that got worst every period. Turned out I had bad scar endo that I have since had to have removed. The only way I can describe it is that it felt warm bruised feeling that got worst each month until they agreed to operate. When they opened me up it was pretty bad x

That’s pretty much what it feels like! When I press anywhere on my stomach there’s a severe pain straight through my bellybutton! I’ll make an appointment with the doctor tomorrow. Could I ask, did you have any bleeding? X

Good plan! Bleeding from my belly button? No. But I've read some people do.

My became a lump I could feel at which point they did a biopsy to confirm it was endo... then i had the surgery to remove it. X

God it’s awful how long it takes at times, like you must be making it up until they can feel something! Thank you so much for replying x

No worries.. I'm lucky that I have a lovely consultant that understands so it wasnt too bad. Good luck and message me if I can help any more as I couldn't find too much about it x

I have the same thing and sadly I am not mentally ready for another surgery.
