Pain in belly button months after operation
I know what you are describing as I’ve had that years after my second lap. It would just come and go. I don’t know why this happens but glad it’s not just me. I would get sharp pains around where the scar is and couldn’t understand why it was hurting, I can’t actually remember if it’s before a period though x
I had the op 2 years ago the onky i pa8nt 8 felt for a while is from the gas get better soom hun
Hi please keep an eye on this and if there is a pattern. I had this (lap 2 yrs ago to remove alot of endo) I'm currently recovering from another operation as it turns out it had spread behind my belly button during that lap surgery. It's called scar endometriosis or abdominal wall endometriosis.
For me I had pulling pains and my skin would feel warm in that area (bit like sunburn) then as time went on it would last for longer around my period to the point I had it 3 out of 4 weeks of my cycle. It's really hard to describe but also felt bruised.
I hope this isnt the case for you but just wanted to share my experience incase it continues for you you could get it investigated x
Hey Thankyou very much for your reply ! That’s exactly what it feels like it’s so odd but thankyou for making me aware of this I will defo bring it up to the gyne. And oh no I wish you a speedy recovery lots of rest hope you feel better soon x
Yes do keep an eye..my scars in my belly button did the same thing too...however in recent months 7 days before my period I bleed from my belly button..my consultant suspects that endo has grown on old scars.. will be having it all treated later this month
Oh gosh that sounds awful I think it’s exactly what I have I looked it up and it’s what I’m experiencing. It’s so Bad though because I didn’t have the problem before surgery . How do they treat it ? Or will it be like this forever 🙈 x
