Pain in belly button scar from surgery.

I have a pain around my belly button scar from surgery. It feels like pinching or like a pin being put in and out. Anyone else experienced this and know what it is?

I had my surgery 7 months ago so not sure why it is happening still.

I get this from time to time, I had my surgery last November and then had to have back to back antibiotics due to an infection. Was told it was scar tissue, I can feel a little lump just above my bellybutton now but I know so many of us get so many odd and uncomfortable pains that I just put it down to the daily life of living with this awful condition. Sorry you have it though it’s not nice at all.

Hi SkyI had this pain about 10 months after my op and appeared fully healed, then it started to hurt go red and the scar started to swell and re open. I saw the nurse after a week of this ( I had been drinking plenty of fluids and smothering in sudocream) she said it wasn't infected-i had probably gotten through that part-but she found a rogue stitch which hadn't dissolved! My body was trying to expell it! Worth getting it looked at! Xx

Yes i will say at my follow up appointment!! Thank you for your reply xx

I still get this randomly 10 years on! It’s the scar tissue - it feels like a pin prick. Doesn’t happen often and only lasts about a minute.

You could try sports massage to loosen up the scar tissue. Some practitioners specialise in it and I swear by it. My first op 2 ops gave me trouble for years. On the 3rd one I saw someone after I was healed on the outside and I've never had any problems plus it fixed the older scars too.
