You can have them in other places, could you mention it to the nurse next time and she if is happy to do the injection elsewhere? X

Yes, I might help you here. Prostap injections should be in your tummy, in the fatty tissue not in your arm, I remember my tummy to be sore but I didn't really think about it. It must be awful to have that in your arm.You could ask your nurse to do it in your tummy next time.

Hi , I was on prostap for 18months , I always had them in my stomach and a different side each time. You can have a 3 month injection too so you are not getting it every month. Hope you are feeling ok on the injections and they helping you .

Hi having it in the arm is painful tell them you don't want it there. It needs to be put in fatty tissue. I wouldn't have it in my tummy because I had a bad experience with the hospital injecting my tummy. I use to have it at the top back of my leg and it needs to be alternated. It's also possible to go in your bum cheek 😀

Hope that helps x

Hi, I thought it was meant to go in your tummy, thigh or bottom?? Did a nurse do it or gp? Nurses seem to be more clued up about it.

I have mine in my tummy sometimes it bruises and other times it doesn’t. The first few days can be a little tender and the infection area hard.
