Does anyone else get absolutely exhausted after being on? I find I can battle through the pain of being on my period with all of my painkillers but then for a few days afterwards I feel like I am made of lead and just can't do anything, and painkillers don't help at this point and I just sleep for hours.
I get so down with it as I have horrendous ovulation pain so literally feel like I have symptoms 3 weeks out of my cycle.
I've just seen a specialist privately as my GP just kept recommending stronger painkillers and wouldn't listen that whilst they dull my pain at the time they make me have side effects which make work difficult and then I'm just exhausted and can't work anyway. Specialist has said I need surgery as I have a unicornuate uterus with a non-communicative horn (which he says is a part of my uterus which isnt connected and breaks down and fills with blood every month) and he thinks I have rectovaginal nodule so I'm on the list for surgery. But if I go NHS for this that is still so many months away.
How do others manage exhaustion and mental health? I eat well, exercise and get enough sleep. Am I just confined to days off work to recover every month?!?! Possibly yes

Hi there I have a unicornuate uterus as well, which my gyno thinks has a non-communicating rudimentary horn. I was diagnosed with endo on my bladder 10 years ago after surgery, and I'm waiting to have surgery again after being in chronic pain for years and recurring endo (I suspect). I get very fatigued, and have realised some days I need to rest and I try not to feel guilty for it..I've start pilates and yoga and I'm taking tumeric, folic acid, vit B 12, calcium, magnesium and now iron tablets for slightly low iron. It's really tough. But the main thing I've realised is if I feel guilty for needing down time I'm only making it worse, and I've had to accept that it's a chronic condition. I've heard tens machines are good but haven't tried them.
