Sounds stupid me getting excited but my gp didn’t refer me to a specialist and my gynaecologist wouldn’t refer me to a specialist I came to the conclusion my gynaecologist was ignorant and dismissive in every way ignored my pain diary whispered through my second appointment whilst a translater was present !refused me going to a nhs hospital I choose due to distant made to go on pill then asked why I’m on it given 2 ultrasound rather than one of each mri and ultrasound.never given ca125 blood test all part of nice guidelines .only spoke of my recent miscarriage not even talked about any kind of follow ups if I were to have a lap no just no !im having to go on a 3 hour journey to see my specialist and stay in a hotel day before I will be scanned on that day.hopefully I will have a quick referral or see how much surgery will be all to be discussed that day and hopefully get more answers I’ve waited 9 month so far for some answers and had nothing

That’s ridiculous you have had to go to these lengths just to see a specialist. That’s the big issue that we need a referral to see a specialist, without it what can we do and where can we take it further.

I ended up paying private to see a BSGE specialist in the end because of long NHS waiting times.

Hope you get all the answers you are looking for and scans, let us know how you get on x

Thankyou I know it’s terrible I was point blank refused a referral by gynaecologist I’d heard many stories of it happening at the time so I started doing my own research he even told me to go see him privately when I showed him it’s ridiculous

That is so ridiculous as that’s for financial gain isn’t it. Who says we all have that kind of money just lying around. I feel that more needs to be done so that women are treated seriously. I have a fantastic GP but consultants I have seen at the hospital make out that it’s not a big deal. I refuse the coil and they don’t like that either but it’s my body and I will decide. Rant over lol xx

Yeah I was hesitant about the pill because it never agreed with me in the past but went ahead despite I was trying to conceive my endo has now got worse cause I haven’t stopped bleeding .on my next appointment he asked me why I was on it ???and had no recollection of telling me to go on it he agreed that he wouldn’t give me an mri because it expensive but wants to give me several ultrasounds what Dosent make sence

You really need an MRI as that can diagnose things like adenomyosis. An ultrasound doesn’t pick this up. I haven’t stop bleeding either on the pill. 3 months now. Fed up of it as nobody can give me any answers x

That’s what I thought every time I see the gynaecologist he has a different plan for me and Dosent follow through he sent a letter to my gp saying possible mri but now he offered me another pointless ultrasound just hope I get some answers on my upcoming appointment

Did you go via your G.P? Or contact the centre direct? What info did you need? How long from referral to the appointment?
