Oh my god, I'm not above admitting this has made me cry!
I had my surgery at 4pm on 6th Jan and it was the only pain I felt, it's dreadful. It's all in my right shoulder exactly the same as when I came round from the anaesthetic. I'm now awake at 4am I can't lie down, if I move when I'm sitting up it's back!
I'm off to get some peppermint tea but please tell me this eases off soon!!

The gas was the worst part of it all for me too! Made me vomit as it hurt so bad when it first set in but I found that it was best when I found an in between laying and sitting position that was supported by plenty of pillows it was best as it meant I had to move less when I wanted to drink, nap, etc! Peppermint tea helped a bit, but I found that the best thing for me was to use my toilet breaks to try and move the shoulder where the gas was in as much as possible an attempt to budge it and then keep still the rest of the time. It passed around day 5. Hope you’re healing okay xx
Grab some rennies deflatine. They can help. And charcoal tablets or windeze. All can be bought in savers etc

Oh and also, I slet upright for 4 days. I had a large body/pregnancy pillow. Staying upright like that seemed to help it ease more
Hiya, its the worst, I feel your pain. Have had many gynae surgeries and nearly all have given me shoulder pain. I've never found any of the gas relieving stuff has helped, the most useful tip I can give you is stay on top of your pain killers. Keep a diary of what you are taking and when and make sure you keep topped up. Hope it starts to ease soon (ps. It's never lasted more than 4 days for me so keep your chin up)
