Sorry if too much detail! But i wondered how other people felt having sex after excision surgery for Endo? Tried to have a fun night with my partner last night but ended up getting so upset about it all
I’m almost 4 months post op and it’s still painful and the following day causes me to have a painful lower stomach and lower back?
I didn’t have it this bad before surgery and as such feeling pretty upset about it as I was hoping surgery was going to help me feel better and so far not feeling that way.
Has anyone else experienced this and did the pain during and after sex improve?

I had a major op last September and sex was painful for around 4 months but it did finally become pain free so hang on in there and know that you’re not alone.
My pain during sex did improve after surgery, it took about 3 to 4 months though and sometimes even a year and a bit on it still hurts in certain positions / depths. I don't think the pain ever goes completely due to scar tissue post op but you should at least feel a little better.
Perhaps try not to worry too much; that can make stuff all tense up and makes things difficult.
It'll ease in time. Do you have a follow up appointment with your specialist? That should be at about 4 to 5 months post op. If not perhaps book one in as they can talk to you about how things are going, their findings, next steps...apologies if you already know this.
So sorry you are feeling this way I’ve not had a lap but have found ways to enjoy sex I was going through a stage where it’s painful to orgasm realise that sex can become fun but you must not panic about it try to relax I’ve had a nodule what’s bugging me but I try to relax my pelvic area whilst having sex and not tense some people use numbing cream and take painkillers before understand that any kind of tension adds more pain do the most comfortable positions and less deep penetration
