Prostap injection

Hi I am new to this site, was wondering if any of you have had the prostap injection? Does it help with the pain? Does it help with the extreme tiredness? I am a little worried about the mood swings side affects as have suffered with depression in the past, I am currently waiting on a mri to define if they need to take some of my bowl away when they operate, so I could be waiting a while before they operate.

Hi my doctor told me this has long term side affects when older. Including painful joints, brittle bones etc.

Have you tried coil / or contraception injection / implant / pill first? X

They will not put me on these as it brings on depression for me! I was worried about the prostap injection doing the same.

They have to be careful they don’t give you to much. Maybe speak to your doctor for different option. Or try the first 3 months an if it’s not fitting for you speak your doctor .

Do you recommend anything for the mood swings/ depression. I suffer with this and didn’t realise it was linked as much as it was til I spoke to my doctor x

hi. I had 6 months of prostap after surgery. I know it gets a bad press and can cause problems with long term implications but for me it was brilliant, I only had the odd hot flush and felt very well on it with no pain or tiredness. I know I've been very lucky but it can sometimes help. Hope you find something that helps you to. Xx
