I had a really good experience with Prostap. I've had two courses of 4/5 months each time. Both times my pain resolved and my bleeding stopped. It was a very welcome relief xxx
Did you get any side effects with it
None at all, I was very fortunate that way xxx
Dint have it I'm disabled now because of it hun. Facebook group #lupronvictims I'm fighting for justice! !! 😯😡
I was ok the first three I thought I had my life back I was wrong it went down hill quick
Heya i dont mean to pry but i was left with bladder issues and other toileting problems, also taken to hospital when had first period after treatment as caused severe bladder and uterus spasms, may I ask in which way it affected you? Im concerned thats all
Thanks xxx
Hi hun sounds familiar can't poo now without having an enema. I've ballooned because of it with edema. I'm disabled my legs collapse so I've got to buy a wheelchair. I had 7 months worth. I suffer with what I can only describe as narcolepsy I fall asleep walking eating in the middle of conversations. It's embarrassing. I shake so much I can no longer write. I've been diagnosed with Chronic fatigue syndrome and M.E since having those injections. I have gastroparesis and various other conditions too all of which have got worse since those lupron prostap injections. I have to have Betta blockers to keep my stuttering and stammering in check. My brain doesn't work like it used to either. I get confused easily. Once I was feeding my cat and also making a cup of tea for my husband and I put cat food in his mug and sugar in the cat bowl. I'm only 38 and I will never work again thanks to them. Check the lupron victims hub on Google hun it's all there. It's chemotherapy hun if you research you will feel nd it. It messes with the pituitary gland so thyroid etc is off balance. It's irreversible too hun. I'm on Facebook if you want a chat I run a lupron victims
Group my name is Cheryl newton. Please don't have any more. I'm not the worst case. Sudden death is one of the side effects also personality disorders like psychosis. It's all there in the lupron victims hub hun 💖 xxx

hi hun ive been on prostap for over 10 yrs ..ive got bowel endo.. then got adenomyosis .. chronic fatigue fibromyalgia and today been told i have osteoarthritis .. i now think the prostap has something to do with all this.. if u no or get an update pls let me no.. as a few women on other sights are saying the same ty hun
Hi. I had my 2nd injection last week and so far, no side effects. The endo pain has gone!!! I feel like ive got my life back.I still get a lot of adhesion discomfort but that makes sense,it can't help that and bowel probs the same. I was spotting/bled dark blood for 2wks after 1st injection and may get more from fibroids breaking down as a result of prostap. Personally I can't wait for the hot flushes as I permanently feel cold!! A symptom free rash developed on top of my feet but that's gone now. Everyone's different but if you have side effects that outweigh the benefits it wouldn't be worth it. You can stop treatment any time. X

I felt like that after three but then my health went down hill fast. My gynecologist didn't want to know me after that. I hope you are okay I've never seen any success stories. It's all bad. Some worse than me. I'm disabled now looking at my rest of my life being in pain head to toe and in a wheelchair!
Please don't have any more it's irreversible the damage once it's done. I have what I can only describe as narcolepsy I fall asleep out of the blue while eating walking even in the middle of conversations. I stutter and stammer too. I shake so bad you can visually see it. My brain don't work like it used to. I collapse often because my legs are full of edema. I've ballooned up in weight too. It seems now from my x ray that I'm storing poo and must of for a long time to be absolutely chocker block full of the stuff. No laxatives work only home enemas. My bowels are useless. I don't just want to scare you hun. See if for yourself #lupronvictims #lupronvictimshub
I have had prostao for endo. I found that in the first 2 weeeks the pain was worse but it did settle down and it reduced the pain and other symptoms. I did however have side effects mainly hot flushes and these woke me up most nights in the 2/3 month but they were easier to deal with than the pain. I would recommend that you try it - you could just take it for 3 months and see how you go,

Heya, I had prostap for 3 months, I will admit it was hard having menopause and this drug together, left me very tired and confused and sad however that is expected withhormone changes. The whole point is to stop estrogen which is a good thing but lso promote the shrinkage of any implants. I had my surgery a few months later and even though they found many implants I believe they would have been bigger and worse if I didnt try prostap. Hope this helps..
PS if you go for it invest in a fan for bedtime trust me!!!!!!
Good luck dear xxxx
Please don't touch these injections. I was ok up to my third injection then it all went down hill quickly from there. I'm disabled now because of it. I used to be able to walk everywhere now I'm having to relocate to Yorkshire for a house with a toilet down stairs just for me. I'm 38 my life is over because of those injections. There are no good stories hin only bad
I had it earlier this year for 3 months. Went into menopause after 3 weeks. My bleeding did stop although I still had some pain (my Endo was severe). Had joint pain and headaches in the first month but these went fairly quickly and after that the only issue was hot flushes.
Hello. Do you have a good relationship with your consultant/GP? Can you go to either of them and ask for a bit more information about the Prostap treatment your specialist is recommending?
Prostap is a GnRH Analogue/Agonist and it works by suppressing your body's oestrogen / progesterone levels and thereby your monthly cycle. This can bring relief from cyclic Endometriosis symptoms, but (as with all medications) Prostap does have side effects. You can also get a bit of a "flare" of side effects when you first start Prostap treatment. Many of Prostap's side effects (like loss of bone density, hot flushes, brain fog, and mood changes etc.) are caused by the hypoestrogenic (oestrogen-deficient) state these injections induce, which is why a complementary dose of "add-back" HRT is often prescribed alongside them.
But every women's experience on these kinds of hormone treatments is completely unique and while for some women Prostap (and other GnRH Analogues like Zolodex etc.) offer good relief from their Endometriosis symptoms, other women don't get on with them at all. Even if Prostap works for you, you may find that it take a bit of experimentation to find the right "add-back" HRT dose for you as (again) every women's experience is unique - some women find that they need a small dose oestrogen / progesterone "added back" (via HRT), others need a higher dose, some women find they do fine without any at all.
Ultimately, as with any treatment, the hope is that the relief it offers is greater than the impact of any side effects, and that is something only the individual themselves can be the judge of. I've had two courses of Prostap and one experience was positive and one negative. The best advice I can offer is that you read up on Prostap treatment and its potential side effects and you ask for as much information as you can from your specialist and your GP so that you can make an informed choice. Maybe also ask your loved ones to do the same so that they are best prepared to support you with whatever choice you make. Also, try and make sure your specialist (or at the very least your GP) is up to speed on Prostap treatment side effects and has some kind of monitoring protocol in place so that, should you feel you are starting to experience any significant adverse effects, you know you can report them and they will be investigated promptly, thoroughly, and appropriately.
Prostap is usually a specialist-prescribed treatment and hopefully your specialist will be happy to answer any questions you have about undergoing it or that arise if/while you are on it, but your GP should still be able to help support you with decisions about this treatment too. If your GP feels they don't know enough about this kind of specialist-prescribed Endo treatment to advise you, then you can ask them to contact Prostap's manufacturer (as all the big drug companies have pharmacology advisors who are there to give GPs and other NHS / private clinicians specialist advice about their products). Your GP should also look up the prescriber guidance on the "electronic Medicines Compendium (eMC)" as this contains up to date, easily accessible information about medicines licensed for use in the UK. You can view this information by visiting:

Sorry that was such a long reply, but I hope it's a helpful one.
Im on my second month and not having a good time on it. I still get sever pain , sickness and all them other endo symptoms as normal and everyone thinks ive had a personality change. The only difference is the hot flushes, they are quite bad on the injection one minute im fine the next I look like ive had a shower its quite embarrassing. I wouldn't risk your health I had to go on it because my gyni will not get in touch with me and I was in A n E .I tried the burslin spray that comes in injection aswell and that stuff is amazing.
