Have you had a full blood test recently to check iron, b12, hormones, thyroid etc?
You don’t have to stay on it, other factor is it’s only licensed for six months and you should have a bone scan as well. The longer you stay on it the longer op will take, they use it as a delay tactic I’m sure. If it helps the pain that is a huge plus so I can see why you’d want to stay on it.
I asked the consultant about the bone scan. The last time I was there. She said they would only do that after I have been on the injections 10 years it is definitely a delay tactic
Have you signed anything to say you know it’s off license use? Depends on how brave you feel, but ten years for a scan is ridiculous and they are gas lighting you. Keeps you off their waiting list and numbers down. They think we are stupid, whether you want to tell them you aren’t.
I told my Gp they’d gaslighted me, a bit late but they’ve not refused a thing since. I hadn’t heard d of the term at the time they did it.
I have got an appointment with the consultant in December. I can’t be bothered going but I’m going to go and I will use that phrase gaslighting when she tries to fob me off again.
no I have not signed anything my Joint sign Agonistes injections and I’m so exhausted, I can barely function
Hello very sorry to hear you're tired all the time. Might be menopause kicking in?
I'm very tired too, and sadly Prostap does have its side effects, however I do still exercise to keep myself happy and healthier. Have you tried any exercise to shift the fatigue at all? I have been on Prostap for about 3.5 years now. All the best , Natalie
