Hi,

Is anyone on here catheterised after going into retention with UTI? I get them frequently but this is the first time I've been catheterised. Just needed a bit of advice really. Anything would help

TIA

HiI’ve not, apart from after an op, and mentioned at one point with a URI. Have they mentioned doing anything else such as a scan?

Crikey not surprised you feel lost. Speak to your GP, although it might be helping at the moment, it’s not something for long term, you need a reason why. Where are you with endo?

Have you had MRI? If not might be worth asking GP. Have you seen an endo specialist or general gynae? 🤞you don’t have to wait too long

Hi I have as had a few bladder problems few years back, they would put me a flip Flo one in that fits in your pants, had it in for 3/6 months as kept getting retention and infections. Urology wanted me to self catheterise but I couldn’t do it.

You keep having urine infections? It’s awful when you can’t wee.

Speak to your GP about it urology will see you and do scans etc mine did sort it’s self out just needed a rest and my lap helped not had one since x
