Waiting for mirena fitting, pill discontinued

Hello

Wondering if anyone can offer any advice. I was diagnosed last September, where endo was removed by excision.

I'm now waiting to have the mirena coil fitted but due to the pain I get with speculums it's going to be done under General anesthetic, which they've agreed to do. The issue is my pill which I currently tricycle has been discontinued by the manufacturer so I can't get anymore. They want me to continue with the pill once I have the coil for 3 weeks so I don't get a period straight away (which happens if I miss a pill).

Based on this I only have 7week supply left I called the hospital and they are saying it definitely won't be within the next 6 weeks. Even waiting 6 weeks takes me 3 weeks over the 18 week guidelines for treatment.

I don't want to either come off the pill before I get the coil. Or change to another one as I've already been on 6 or 7 and don't want to put my body through 3 different hormone combinations in a short space of time.

Any words of advice? How can I push to get in sooner? I'm already on the cancellation list I have been since the agreed to do it under GA.

Thanks Christina
