After much difficulty trying to get any kind of help since my lap (still in the same pain as I was pre lap) I went to get the depo injection. Got told not to have it after that due to it taking up to 2 years for fertility to return. Went to have the coil fitted today, didn’t really want it but thought I’d give it a try, it was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced and they had to stop so I’m back to having the injection.
We talked about my husband’s fertility issues too and we’ll basically the dr (female) made comments about my age (22) and my desire to have children and how I wouldn’t be wanting children yet anyway and that when I’m 24/25 we could revisit it. Woah slow down hun - that’s none of your business. And hello I have endo and possible PCOS I’m not going to know much about my fertility until I start trying. Which may well be within the next 18 months thank you very much (well once the hormones wear off)!!

Similar position here, I am 20. I have been with my partner for 4 years and we really want a family. I have definitely had the “you’re too young” comments.
At the end of the day, with endo, you just never know! No time is the right time to have children tbh, you just have to do it when you feel ready. I always had ideas of having a great career and earning lots of money beforehand but what’s the point in waiting 5/10 years only to find out that your fertility was the best in your early twenties ? Honestly, ignore other people’s opinions - this is your life and if having children is something you really want and feel ready for then that’s all that matters. Money, careers etc won’t make children happy - a loving and strong family will.
Hilarious really as when you get towards your 30s you're told to hurry up and start trying. Nevermind how many times you say you don't want kids! Obviously speaking from experience here. We can't win can we?
