POP and bleeding

I’ve been on Cerelle for 2 weeks and I’m having a period from hell. The pain is horrendous and I’m soaking pads bringing back memories of when I was really severe. I was put on it to stop the bleeding on my holiday but I go away next week and I’m thinking is it worth it! Anyone got experiences of POP - should I persevere and hope it settles by next week or shall I stop and let my body settle. I’m having a hysterectomy as soon as I get back so I was only after 3 weeks respite from pain & bleeding.

Ive been on cerelle since January and mine started bad as if it wasn't doing anything, if anything they were worse. About a 2 months ago it started properly working, now I just bleed a little but probably for 3 weeks at a time. Which is much better than being heavy all the time. I don't think it will be sorted for your holiday, but stick with it for the long run, your body needs time to get used to it and adapt to the hormones

I had cerazette (same as cerelle) for 9 months and it was just about as much as I could bear! For the first 3 months I bled constantly, then my periods would range from 14 days to 73 days in between them, and the pain was still pretty much constant when I was on it! Are there other pills to stop bleeding short term, such as norithisterone, that might help better than the pill? Maybe if you stop the pill now, it might trigger a period and get it all out of your system before your holiday! x

Thanks for sharing your experiences, sadly I went a bit weird on Northisterone really spacy and knocked off. I think your right I’ve not taken it this am and I’ve got 8 days for hopefully my body to stop bleeding. I will take bits with me and 🤞🏻 I don’t need to use them. I’m so tired of it all and so cross it may affect the holiday. We booked the holiday a year ago when my hysterectomy was going to be December.

I feel that pain, due to be on my period for my honeymoon in 3 weeks time but would rather deal with that pain than feeling horrible from PMS!
