Really need Advice, Mirena coil & Bloating, painful wind!

Hello, I was diagnosed back in October 2018 with endo on my ovaries a d womb! I had a laparoscopy done to confirm this. When they did the lap they also put in a Mirena coil, to help the stop of the endo growing!

Since having the mirena, my periods have become lighter, but now 9 months on and I still get periods, except for one month (which I shit myself, and did a test, which thankfully was negative) Has anyone else with the Coil had the on/off periods?

I've now been offered a operation to get rid of the endo, but was told that the type of endo I have will grow back within a year.

I wasn't going to have it done, but lately, maybe the last two months? my bloating/ "Endo Belly" has gotten worse with very sore boobs, which have resulted in my now having to wear a sports bra to bed and painful wind. Do I just go for the OP and see what happens or am I just wasting my time? Also, I've been told about certain things on not to eat with endo..But I'm vegetarian, don't drink milk.

So doesn't leave me with much food choice!

Please comment and let me no your opinion, Thank you.

Hello, I use peppermint oil that really really helps for my bloating. I also went through a time where i was in so much breast pain that i couldn't even gently hug anyone and taking off my bra after a long day was excruciating. I used evening primrose oil and it was the first thing to help diminish the pain to my relief. I hope this helps even a little.

I am sorry to hear you are struggling and that the operation won't last as long as you had hoped. I have had the mirena since December 2017 and i still experience on and off bleeding, but i now have months where i bleed more than i don't. I am considering going for a laparoscopy soon.

I would listen to your body and if nothing you try relieves the pain and discomfort then maybe rethink the option of the operation? strongs xxx

Hey!

Thank you for replying. The pain in my boobs is awful, and I just feel huge even though I'm a healthy size 14 when I used to be a 18 I feel at my biggest!

The bloating is getting me down as I cant wear any nice summer tops they all have to be baggy, as i look about 4 months pregnant. I will try peppermint oil as I've been having peppermint tea when it gets so bad, but it only helps slightly. Primrose oil, Is that for the sore boobs? Do I drink it, make it into a tea? Or use it as a oil?

I think it's the coil making me put on weight as I've noticed I'm constantly hungry..Trying to diet I'd a nightmare, I'd join the gym if they weren't so bloody pricey in the UK lol.

Thank you for replying back.

Hope you feel okay!

Layc :-) x

I can imagine that it's making you feel much heavier than you are and it must feel so awful! I often say i feel like a toad when i bloat and also hate having to wear baggy tops, however it's the only way to feel more comfortable for me, i'm sorry about that. The peppermint oil, as well as the evening primrose oils both come in soft gel tablet form that you can find in any pharmacy. I went for a stronger dose of the primrose oil (for the breast pain) and even though it was more pricey, it helped and that was all i cared about at that point!

Dieting is a tough thing to do but i found that after about 18 months on the mirena, my weight started to go down and stabilize again. I also drink lots of water which apparently helps with pain as well. Unfortunate about the gym prices i agree..

really hope you find some relief :) xxx
