I’m on the contraception Cerelle, which I take constantly/never have a break. I have been taking it for two years roughly.
For the past three weeks, I have been having bloody vaginal mucus, ovary pain and kidney pain and brown discharge on panty liner. Spoke to GP about it and she said its nothing to worry about its just the pill however I just can’t shake that there is something wrong especially since I’m starting to feel unwell. Can anyone offer any advice?
Thank you
Amber (sorry if TMI)

I would go back to the G.P and insist on having an internal ultrasound just to check everything is fine, I had the same thing and they found I had a fair few endo cysts xx
Its just so frustrating having endo because without meaning to the GPs they just make you feel like you are worrying about anything and everything. Thank you for taking the the time to reply, I think I might get in contact with them xx
Yes go back to GP. The pill you are on might not being working for you anymore or there is something else going on. Especially if you are having these pains. I was on this pill after other pills weren’t helping me with the bleeding. If this GP won’t listen ask to see another. Maybe take someone that is more assertive with you. I always took my mother and she would not take no for an answer x
When I spoke to them they said they don’t want to do or touch any medication until after my specialist consultant has operated on me! I think I need to take someone with me next time I’m too soft! Thank you replying x
Ok in that case email or call consultants secretary to see if they can give advice if this is normal for you to bleed this much as GP says it’s gyne related. That could be an option for you. It’s what I do x
Well, I would for starters go to a gynaecologist and not a GP to discuss BC matters.
I suggest you get a visit with an experienced endo surgeon who specialises or is good at imaging and ultrasounds because ovarian pain and weird discharge could be an indicator of ovarian cysts, which can be found via ultrasound if the GYN is very good at looking.
Please get referred to a Nancy Nook doctor or an endo specialist working in a BSGE centre with extensive experience
