Mini Pill

Hi all.

I have swapped from Microgygnon to Desogestrel.

I have been on it for a month, trying not to get my hopes up but I have had no pain at all since swapping. Whereas before I definitely wouldn’t go a month without agonising symptoms.

I had a period when I first swapped over but nothing since and no spotting. I know this is early days, but if it continues like this I’ll be over the moon.

If desogestrel is working so well for me, does that mean that I likely do have endometriosis? The consultant was thinking about a lap after checking me 3 months in with the new pill, if it wasn’t helping. It would be great to have a likely explanation as to why I have been in agony since 16 without the need for surgery.

If progesterone only pill is stopping your pain and discomfort then that would suggest that hormones are the cause of your pain and as endo is linked to oestrogen you maybe do have it. I went on the same pill after having my baby and had minimal symptoms but now were trying for baby number 2 and I'm off the pill symptoms fired back up pretty much straight away x
