Bleeding/period 3 days after lap

Hi there. Sorry this is a bit personal before I start off! I had my excision lap three days ago. Bled a moderate amount for the first two days, now I’m bleeding much heavier. It does coincide with when my normal period is due (which should be today/tomorrow). Should I be worrying or is it just my period showing up? It’s quite heavy bleeding like the first couple of days of a heavy period. It’s just the timing of it being so close to my lap - I can’t distinguish if it’s my period or something to be worried about linked to my lap.

Anyone unfortunate enough to have their period 2/3 days after their lap?

Thanks x

I had a period at around 2 weeks after surgery, although I'd been due on when the surgery happened. Like you I worried it was a complication of the surgery. I got in touch with the gynae ward where my surgeon was based and they were very reassuring. Definitely speak to someone and set your mind at rest x
