Combined pill

So I have recently gone back on the combined pill to help with my symptoms until I get a date through for my second laparoscopy (up to a year waiting list).

However I am currently having a period that I shouldn’t really be having as I’m not on the 7 day break and my symptoms are worse than ever.

Has anyone else had the same thing, how long have people found until the pill started helping them?

Hey, I had this however I wasn’t on it for long as I couldn’t tolerate it as I just bled constantly and it made me extremely sick. It just didn’t help me.

I then got put onto the progesterone only pill and I bled a lot less however it didn’t stop me completely.

I’m no longer on a pill as I’m 12 days post my first laparoscopy and I had the mirena coil fitted. So far it’s changed my life. I haven’t bled for 10 days!

I’m so sorry you’ve been waiting so long, it’s absolutely ridiculous. I really hope you get treatment soon xx

Yeah they mentioned about the mirena coil but I’m wanting to get pregnant pretty quickly after my surgery I just needed some relief from the pain whilst waiting for the date!

Best of luck with conceiving, you deserve it! Totally understand why you want it for the pain as it’s dreadful.

It’s made a massive change to my life, I didn’t think it would change much but it really has! Xx
