I’ve been prescribed Gederal combined pill to help with endo and ovarian cyst symptoms. They have told me to take it back to back without a break, I’m just wondering if anyone else does this and finds it effective? Thank you 😊

Hi, I have stage 4 severe endo.. I took Gederal combined pill back to back and I did find it helped, my last MRI scan showed my endo to be inactive, which I am putting down to the combined pill - it worked great for me.. Unfortunately I had a migraine with aura while on it (I feel asleep in the sunshine with no sunglasses, which I believe caused he migraine) however they took me off it immediately and put me on the Cerelle (pop pill) I am not getting on great with it.. lots of cramping, really sore lower back, spotting and headaches :( - Good luck with the Gederal, it did help me..

Thanks for your reply, did you get any break through bleeding with taking it back to back? I have been taking it for 6 weeks now and started with break through bleeding, not sure whether to take the 4 day break to see if this will help but I’m worried about my endo returning. Yes I’ve not had a good experience with progesterone only pill, I was the same as you. Hoping your feeling better soon and symptoms ease!

It took around 2 months to settle down for me with light spotting, sI would keep going for another few weeks - after the 2 months I was completely period free.. hopefully it will be the same for you.. good luck!

hi, i was prescribed this a few months ago for (suspected) endo symptoms, i didn’t have a proper period when i took it back to back, however i did have some light bleeding so i had to stop taking it. overall for me it didn’t really help with my daily pain but i was just grateful that it stopped my periods! that said, everybody is different so there is a large chance gedarel will work better for you than it did for me! :)

Hi, yes that’s right just keep taking it without the break unless you get any break through bleeding then stop for a 4 day break 😊

Hey, just wondered how you were getting on with Gederal? I have recently had a lap to remove endo and told to take the pop to keep it at bay however tried a few different options that didn’t agree with me so decided to go back on the combined pill and I’ve been on it for 3 days now. I’ve had metal taste in my mouth and a really bad headache yesterday. But I will persevere as I don’t want to go back on the pop!
