Hi all. I'll be 2 weeks post Laparoscopy tomorrow. I'm just wondering, does this look like the stitches have dissolved and is it normal to be this bruised still?
I'm scared to have a shower without a dressing incase there's still stitches in there
TIA

Yours look a lot further a long healing-wise than mine do. I was told by the nurses keep the dressings on for 7-10 days so I took mine off on 10 days and have been having really quick showers and making sure they’re completely dry when I get out. So far no problems without the dressings but if you have any doubts you could always ring the ward and ask? Xxxxx
Perfect, thank you 😊 I'll hold off phoning the ward as I think they look okay tbh, it's just hard to know if stitches have dissolved haha. How're you feeling recovery wise? Xxx
I’m feeling pretty well thanks 😊 this is my 6th lap so luckily no unexpected surprises but as I had work done on my bladder and I think bowel the err... pipes aren’t working as they should currently which is frustrating! How are you? Xx
Aw I know how you feel there, took me 6 days to have a BM, but I suffer from IBS-C too so to be expected lol. I'm doing okay, quite sore and tender but not bad, no endo found so seeking advice off a private gynae on Monday as NHS have been useless about what's next. Wasn't an endo specialist who did my lap either. Hope you continue to make a good recovery and the pipes move soon lol 😊 xx
