Hi everyone , this is my first post on here.
For as long as I can remember I have always had very painful periods , I always thought that it was normal as my mum suffers terribly with Endo.
I’ve always just put up with the pain but as the years went on the pain and my symptoms were getting worse, the pain was so bad I was taking 30/500 co codamol and that wasn’t really touching it, I would be doubled over in pain, few occasions I had to cling to a wall in public because of the pain. During my period I would have a hot water bottle constantly attached to my stomach, it was affecting my ability to work. I would get back pain, leg pain , bloating , diarrhoea and also a shooting pain up my bum.
Last June I got to a point where I realised i couldn’t cope with it any longer so I went to my gp, I explained what had gone on, my family history with Endo etc and she decided to change my pill as I had been on microgynon since I was 15 and I’m now 27, this made me extremely anxious because I would run 3 packs together so I wouldn’t bleed as often but due to my bmi she wasn’t happy keeping me on it and changed me to cerazette and referred me to gynae.
Now 8 months later , I’ve just had my letter through to make an appointment with gynae but I’m worried they won’t want to do anything with me as since I’ve been on cerazette I haven’t had a period so haven’t had all of the awful symptoms I was previously having. I am now starting to get the odd few stabbing pains etc so I think it might be staring up again..
( sorry for the long post)
