Dizziness 2 weeks after having a laparoscopy to remove fibroids

Hi, it’s 2 weeks since I had a laparoscopy to remove 7 fibroids. 9 days in and I started feeling really dizzy, weak and lightheaded. I had all the tests done - sugar level, blood count, scans of my chest and legs for blood clots and all was normal. I’m drinking over 2 liters a day and still off work so resting, but try and walk around for at least 30min a day. Dr says it’s just my body healing .... it’s 2 weeks in and it’s still happening .. anyone else experienced this?

I had some dizziness a few days after getting out of bed in the morning after my lap. It wasn’t long lasting though....I figured it was due to the antibiotics I was on. I was treated for PID

Thanks for the response, I seem to be worse in the evenings and not to bad in the mornings... I stopped anitibiotics after a week and down to 1 pain killer a day ... I’m thinking of stopping them to see if that might be causing it ...

Hi Jati - I just wanted to say snap! Its 3 weeks since I had a laparoscopy for excision of deep infiltrating endo in lots of areas, including removal of an ovary and both tubes. I am still feeling dizzy and have headaches every day, especially when I try to do too much (tried a short walk - for me - of an hour yesterday and it made me feel awful). I'm going to check with my surgeon in my follow up appointment tomorrow, but I'm guessing its just because the body is still healing inside. Its frustrating, just want to get back to normal! I hope you feel better soon x

Hi lou002, it really helps to know it’s not just me, I did do a lot more waking yesterday and stuff around the house ... I could be that for me too .. saw dr yesterday again... he’s doing some more tests blood, urine ... and I feel you .. being away from work and not back to normal is so frustrating! Hope you get better soon too x
