hope you’re all well. I had my first laparoscopy almost 2 weeks ago now, the surgeon removed endometriosis from a few places but he told me this as I was in recovery so I can’t fully remember what he said so I’m not 100% sure on where the endo was and how much of it there was.
however, I’m still in a lot of pain, I can stand and move around a lot better now but I’m getting these sharp shooting pains in the abdomen still, they almost take my breath away. The surgeon seemed to think I’d be back to normal within a week so I’m wondering have I just a very low pain threshold or is it normal to still have these pains a couple of weeks later?
thanks!

That def makes me feel reassured. I was worried that when the surgeon said it would take a week and I was still feeling rubbish 2 weeks later that maybe something was wrong but I do think maybe the surgeon plays down how the recovery will be. Hope you’re feeling ok now!
Oh yes thank you, that was years ago! Glad that I’ve reassured you a bit. The tricky bit is getting a sick note for any time longer than what they’ve given you, you’ll need to go to your gp for any extensions.
