bleeding and abdominal pain after intercourse having had a hysterectomy

Hi can any please help me..I had a hysterectomy(cervix removed)10weeks ago I have had intercourse twice with my partner and both times had constant tummy pain for 2 days or so after..last night was 2nd time but this time along with constant bloated tummy pain had a fair amount of fresh blood..can anyone help please..😕

You need to get checked out asap Hun as it's not normal to bleed after 6 weeks. I'm 7 weeks post op (total hysterectomy and removal of both ovaries and tubes) me and my husband tried sex for the first time at 6 weeks post op and it was agony but tried again at 6 and half weeks with plenty of lube and I was fine and no bleeding so definitely get checked out as bleeding can be a sign of many things, including infections and prolapse xx

thank you had sex at 7 weeks no bleeding but pain in my tummy not in vagina..then sex at 10 weeks bled for half hour but today 3 days later still tummy pain..see my doctor tomorrow..just worried I my have tore abit..but surely would still be bleeding? oh the joy of being a women

I would get yourself checked! you could have a collection of blood at the top of your vagina which is being released after having intercourse. If you don’t have a temperature & feel ok otherwise don’t panic. If you can’t see your GP then leave a message for your consultant as you need some advice or a check scan.

hi ladies ..back again..have any of you had a hysterectomy with cervix removed? also with endo removed from bowel by any chance? I went to doctors who said my tummy is not right being in pain after intercourse..just waiting for a call back from my consultant..literally hes the best the nhs can buy..hopes got some answers x

Hey! I had womb, cervix, ovaries and tubes removed, I also had endo removed from my bowel, bladder and lower left lung. I have no pain at all during or after intercourse unless hubby bumps my vault (where they have stitched internally where my cervix once was) but then it Only hurts for a couple of seconds. I hope you feel better soon xx

hey thank you your an absolute star for replying...likewise my partner literally touched the vault I felt it only very slightly was fine no pain...it's the pain I'm left with an hour later for 4 to 7 days..my doctors has insisted it's my tummy in permanent contraction..yay..im doing process of alimination myself until i see my consultant 😆thank you once again 🙂
