First lap yesterday

I had my first laparoscopy yesterday after 7 years of agony. I was so relieved when finally someone told me I was not imagining all my pain.

My bowel has been attached to my pelvis by the endo for they don’t know how many years and they detached it yesterday. I am wondering if anyone else has ever had this and whether it made a difference to the pain you had been having?

I have always been told that I ‘just’ have IBS and there is nothing that can be done so I am mad that nobody has picked up on this before.

I have other areas of endo but depending on how this surgery went they can treat that as I feel.

I’m relieved and in pain at the same time but the relief outweighs the pain by a long stretch!
