So I had my first laparoscopy yesterday and they didn't find any endo and this is going to sound strange but i feel a bit frustrated at that as I am convinced that I have it! They did however find pelvis adhesions which they said they have fixed! My question is, is there still a chance that I could have endo? Should I ask for a referral to a specialist? And has this happened to anyone else! Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Hi, it dosnt sound strange as I understand that you want to know what's going on, well adhesion s mist off come from something, so unless you have had past operations or an injury in that area it probably is due to endo that has been missed, if you have been seen under general gyne I would request that you get a refferal to a bsge centre for a second opinion, xx
Yes it does seem strange and yes there is a chance you still have endo. I would definitely get referred to a specialist for a second opinion. What reasons did they give for the adhesions being there? Good luck and let us know how you get on xxx
exact same thing! Had my lap in December told that not Endo but had adhesions attaching my bowel to my abdominal wall which they divided, told me they couldn't give me a reason for the adhesions. I have asked for a referral to a specialist centre as there is one less than an hour from me. I was told it wasn't appropriate. A lady called lindle on here has advised me to ask again and composed a letter for me, however I am currently burying my head in the sand as I am sick of medical appointments that seem to go no were so I cant say that it works but if you would like me to send you a copy for you to edit with your own info let me know.
Thankyou so much for your replies ladies! I've never had any other surgery or injuries which is why I think it still could be endo especially having no diagnosis to why I feel so poorly all the time! The surgeon didn't give any reason for the adhesions just said that I had them! Have made an appointment with my gp so I can ask to be referred to a bsge centre!
Yes ask for a specialist I've just had my second laparoscopy today and they found loads of spots all over my womb which turned out to be endometriosis where as my last laparoscopy the other gynaecologist couldn't find any at all so I asked for a second opinion and I'm so glad I did
