Lap yesterday

I had my laparoscopy yesterday which diagnosed endo and removed some adhesions. They were a bit iffy about discharging me as my blood pressure was very low but eventually agreed to me going home. I surprised myself with how well I felt yesterday but today is a different story. I feel really weak and shaky as well as in a lot more pain. Could this be the blood pressure thing and is there anything I can do to improve it? My blood pressure tends to be on the low side of normal anyway but my readings yesterday were way below normal.

I had my lap almost 2 weeks ago now, but I had a similar situation and my blood pressure is always on the lower side of normal.

In terms of BP - Are you drinking lots of water? And eating regularly? I found that I had to have a little snack every couple hours and really keep on top of my fluids or I felt awful! Obvs got to remember how much pulling and tugging they’ve done inside, and that you’ve had lots of medications so that could account for it too.

And as for the pain, I found it worse on the days after too... but a lot of that was to do with the gas pains that were in my stomach and shoulders. But regular painkillers will help, and peppermint tea for the gas pains was a life saver for me.

If in doubt, ring the ward or your GP. It’s always better to be safer than sorry. And MOST importantly, listen to your body and take it easy. Pop a film or good series on and snuggle down in your pjs for a few days, it’ll make you feel sooooo much better.
