Does it hurt? I’m also really worried about how I will feel mentally the feeling of loss. I left it to late to have children to busy growing my business etc and now it’s suddenly dawning on me this is it xx any thoughts advise really welcome thanks in advance

Hysterectomy and Bowel resection next week.....
Hi Natalie,
I have never had to have the enema, people who have said it's a odd uncomfortable feeling, one of my mates got right into it and swore blind it helped with her endo. I really do think your battle is going to be more of a mental one, make sure you seek some help via councilling. I hope the surgery is all straightforward and look after your mental well being.
Best of luck 🤞 Harriet
Enemas don’t hurt it’s just a weird feeling of fullness and then after anywhere between 20 min and few hours you will go to loo. You may go several times in a short period and it will get looser and looser until all you pass is a dirty water!
I feel for you as it is very finial. I’m waiting for my date to come in December. I’m very lucky I did get a miracle but I wanted a big family and that’s not happened. Mentally all this is one of the biggest things for me as we have treatment for pain etc but nothing for how it makes you emotionally feel. I belong to a group on Facebook where we all discuss our emotional worries including anxiety and depression related to endo.
Best wishes xx
Thank you your so right lots of physical help but mentally no mention of anything almost like we are having our appendix out. All the very best for December xx
