Pelvic infection after laparoscopy

Has anyone got/had a pelvic infection after surgery? Im on 2 types of antibiotics,

I’ve had 2 days of it in iv and 4 days taking 2 different tablets but not noticing any difference yet. After 6 days How long does it take to notice a change ie symptoms of the infection going as i worry about septic shock.

Oh you poor thing. Are u in hospital? I had a laparoscopy last Tuesday and by god my pain has increased. It's my first lap so not sure.. maybe your not on the right treatment . How did you know u had an infection? What symptoms did you have? X

I also had my first lap on Tuesday to remove 2 large endometriomas they also found stage 4 endometriosis and my organs fuzed together so alot was done. I was kept in till Thursday and sent home with 2 different types of antibiotics when i read my discharge papers it says pelvic infection. My symptoms are.

temperature going up and down

pain in both arms and legs

the blood I’m losing smells bad

i feel light headed alot .

Oh wow same as me!! I had a lap and I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo, adenomyosis and polycystic ovaries! She did nothing and closed up and said it was major and she needed a colorectal and urology surgeon present at next op. So i was sent home. Maybe you had an infection during the op so they kept you and gave Iv abx?

I am just about recovering from lap still so sore inside but that could just be the endo that's been disturbed. I'm still awaiting treatment. Hope you get better soon. See GP or go to A&E hun if your unwell and you may still have infection. X
