Can I get pregnant after multiple laparoscopies?

Hey everyone. I was diagnosed with stage II endo when I was 19, I had 3 laparoscopies in between the age of 19 and 22 (I’m 25 now), each time they said I had scar tissue and adhesions around ovaries etc but did their best to remove them during surgery. I am now trying for baby #1 but I’m worried I have screwed up my chances after all the surgery I have had. I had the Mirena Coil since being diagnosed at 19 to keep the endo at bay, that was removed this February 2018 and since then I haven’t had much endo pain at all and my periods have been a breeze compared to what they used to be before I had the coil fitted. Any advice? 💕

I’m 8 weeks pregnant after my third laparoscopy ( but with an endo surgeon) My endometriosis affected my fertility although not every women with endo will have fertility issues.

Mine grew on POD, uteroscaral ligaments & rectum.

It took us nearly 6 years of trying for a baby to find/diagnosis my endo.

I’ve had three laps within 13 months ( my endo became worse after my chemical pregnancy & I ended up needing an endo surgeon)

My laps improved my fertility & once the endo had been removed I was able to conceive. Hope that can give you some reassurance.

Good luck with the baby trying 😘✨🤞🏻 xoxo

I would imagine you’d have a better chance of conceiving post laparoscopy. I was told by my consultant that clearing the endo could only help improve my chances of conceiving. He removed an endometrioma from my right ovary, freed it from the pelvic wall and removed adhesions on the rectum etc. I was told I now had a better chance of IVF success or even naturally conceiving! He felt it was definitely a factor causing sub-fertility. You have done the right thing with the surgeries!! I wish you so much luck with your trying now!! Xx
