Self injecting sayana press ... anxiety overload

Hello all

I’m just wondering if any of you lovely ladies are on sayana press and have to self inject, I have to do it every 10/11 weeks, but every time I find it so hard to do and anxiety takes over, I always worry that the liquid has gone in properly and feel like I’m overthinking things and worry I’m doing it properly. I’m in a real downer and slump at the moment and feel like endo is taking over my life 😔

Hi Joely,

I'm sorry to hear about how you've been suffering with endometriosis--it sounds like you've had a really difficult time.

If you need someone to talk to about this, we do have a network of support services that are available to anybody affected by endometriosis. Our free helpline (0808 808 2227) is run by volunteers who have personal experience of endometriosis. The helpline is open most days--the times it's open can be found here: endometriosis-uk.org/helpline

You may also find our support groups useful as a place where you can discuss endometriosis, and the anxiety it has caused you, with other sufferers. Please visit: endometriosis-uk.org/suppor... to find one in your local area. If there isn't one near you then do have an online support group.

While we don't have information specifically about the sayana press, we do have some information regarding other forms of treatment: endometriosis-uk.org/sites/...

I hope you feel better very soon.

Kind regards,

Gemma, Endometriosis UK
