I posted about horrendous constipation early this week I took 3 laxido on tuesday and 3 on wedneday and I had some normal poos and nothing on Thursday but today I have diarrhoea! Could this be the blockage been unblocked after 6 laxatives?
I went this morning very small super soft and twice this afternoon bigger but still soft but not water! Just horrible!! 💩💩💩
Hey! I have had the same thing post op! I was told that when it’s watery it could be poo moving around an impaction of hard poo from the constipation, do you get pain with bowel movements? I would recommend lots of water like 2-3 litres a day and just try and have loads of fibre in your diet until it settles, I usually take 1-2 laxido a day as well x hope it subsides x
I was constipated, took the laxido and had two huge normal poos, I was like yey...kept taking the laxido for some reason 😂🙈 and had 6 laxido in total Monday - wedneday which Is apparently a lot!
Then I’ve had the bad diarrea
I spoke to a dr they said they think it’s the laxido catching up on me / taking too much and the way a laxative works is it makes you poo! I thought about an impactation but as I went for 2 normal poos after the laxido I didn’t think it would be that. Apparently 6 is a lot to take I only have only taken one before haha!
I’m just eating fruit, drinking water. I took a tablet to stop the watery poo as well

I was told the same that I was blocked up and they called mine overflow .I had not poof for nearly 2 weeks.doctor put me on laxipo 4 first day,then 6/8 and 8 on the last day.no poo until the last day. Told to eat mor fruit .started to go back to constipation and was told to take 6 more doses 3/2 and one on the 3 day. All seemed fine but diarrhoea is back again .I am 80 and never poo like this before.🤷🏼♀️
No no pain when going. When I had the two normal poops after the laxido it was the biggest relief in the world
Sounds like you unblocked any blockages the first time and you’ve had watery diarrhoea as there was no more 💩 to come out. I’ve done that before too, I took 8? I think haha! And because I drank so much water it was basically just coming straight out of me as that’s how it works, it pulls all the water to the bowel so it can create softer 💩 and unfortunately it carries on working for a while after, I discovered 😳😂
Oh god! I took an Imodium and feel constipated again most likely as it’s stopping anything else coming out. I told the dr I took 6 in 2 days and she was like oh wow that’s a lot haha! I didn’t realise there’s like a delay in a sense. The first poo I went after the laxido was huge and such a relief haha!! But I carried on taking after the first one as I felt some more was there and I went again and it was pretty normal with taking 6 I guess therwxgojng to be bad effects from taking that many. The soft horrible thing started this morning just small tiny ones then went on to lots of it I’ve been 3 tines today I guess I should thank myself lucky I’m away 😂😂
I’ve been drinking hot water peppermint tea and I had a fiver gone fiber drink as it helps constipation but also lose stools to bulk up with the fiber I had a sweet Pototo for dinner hopefully bulking up with good things lol
I’ve managed to go out shoooing today so I haven’t been sat on the Toliet all day or anything but had some urges to go and when I did it was horrendous lol

I have had the laxido/serious contispation thing. My friend is an intensive care nurse and gave me the best advice and my gp was pretty good too. The diarrhoea you describe is normal and isn't diarrhoea as such, it is due to the release of the impactation, think in medical world they call it 'overflow'! The amount of laxido you had for an impactation was fine, I had the same amount, except it took me almost a week to have the first full poo.
Don't take immodium again as you will get yourself in a pickle. Laxido shouldn't be stopped instantly either, when you think your impactation is starting to release go down to 1-2 sachets a day. Then gradually reduce that over a week until you stop. I can have 1 sachet of laxido to keep me regular and it only just does the job! As it's not a laxative, it is a stool softener. Therefore extea water is essential. You may find you are super thirsty anyway, also I found when I was on a heavy dose, alcohol was a no, no. That's just me personally tho😬
Such a shame your gp didn't advice you correctly on the use of it.
Anyway hopefully you will get straight and feel comfortable soon., as it can be so painful. 😢

Thankyou I think the laxido just messed with my stomach and was in a bit of a shock as well haha.
I took a fibergel last night and trying to drink a lot of water and eat right and do the best I can on that side of things.
Those 2 normal poos I had were huge and I thought it was the end of it lol so the watery stool confused me but the dr said it’s normal as everything is been flushed out

I am reading this forum, looking for answers to my problem. I came across your comments which I find very similar to my Problem at the moment, only I was taking
Laxido for 4 weeks, I have what you describing normal BM but after small diarrhea a few times a day Very loose stuff and not a lot in substance,up to 7 times a day,just wondering I know it has been a while since the post how did you get on? Did everything go away ok? Is it anything you have done to sort it? Because the doctors says that he hears about it first time like that.
