Noticed when I’ve been flaring up I get stomach cramps / IBS symptoms.. constipation. Anyone else feel this way..

Took some laxido to try and help things as I feel I need to go but can’t!

Do you get horrendous stomach cramps. Mine are currently awful and I can hear my stomach swirling round and round

I hate the sound, sometimes when I touch my stomach you can hear it sounding like a mushy mud puddle being stood in then the all day loud stomach noises which everyone thinks is funny but I feel embarrassed by it.

Likewise. I had a really bad year last year with my IBS being very severe to the point that I couldn’t walk down the stairs at work and had to call a cab to get home.. severe cramps from sudden constipation. I too take Fybogel when I feel that I might be in imminent danger of constipation! :/ it’s better at the moment but also have been taking good and strong probiotics for 2 years now, almost all the time, and they help. I also make more soups with loads of green vegetables and generally eat more veg.

I suffer with constipation to I take cosmocol powder prescribed and fibogel and sometimes the ibs byscopan tablets specifically for cramps. Maybe worth a try? X

Yes I have this too. I taken merbriven Fibrogel. I found the bowel gets confused which way is out. The pain hides the bowel movements. The only thing that helps me is having 2 large strong cups of Tea with a small amount of painkiller then breakfast and Fibrogel. Then take your time, try kneeling on the bathroom floor, changing the angle you might poo at this should help. If not working you may need to put on gloves and apply pressure to the area, create the feeling to go. It's not nice but taking movit or another med for this type of issue never works and causes just soreness and further inflammation.

Hi 👋🏻

I have constant ‘full’ and ‘pressure ‘ sensation in my bowel and haven’t had a natural bowel movement for about 6 months. My stools are usually more soft then hard regardless of the fact I take zapain pretty much every day for degenerative disk disease and the endo. I don’t get cramps just constant pain in the left side like an ache. I have to use suppositories to go to the toilet. I feel for you. I’m lucky I don’t suffer with cramps x
