Hi all, phew so glad this forum exists - people that really understand this condition and its effects.
So, I had my 5th laparoscopy and polyp removal 3 months ago and after ongoing issues of constipation, fatigue and pain I thought things just weren't right. I went to see my consultant last night (I hugely recognise just how fortunate I am to be able to go privately) and had a pelvic scan which showed more adhesions, new polyps and fibroids and since my mri last year I have now developed adenomyosis! She was shocked how quickly things have come back. So it's back to surgery again and I'm trying out the mirena again even though it didn't suit me last time as apparently if that doesn't work I need to choose between quality of life and a hysterectomy. For the first time in 16/17 years since I was first diagnosed my head feels utterly fried!!!!! I have never come to terms with not having children and that I am so close now to having to have a hysterectomy is just so incredibly hard to deal with emotionally. I don't often think 'why me' or 'it's not fair' but today I do.
