Pain relief in the heat

Hi ladies,

Does anyone have any solutions to managing endo pain (specifically stomach pains) in the heat? Usually I use a hot water bottle, but I obviously can't bear the thought of that!

Thank you!

Sarah

I'm actually sat here with a hot water bottle now 😁 Maybe a ice pack wrapped in a towel ? I 'm luckily living near the sea so I've been in the sea a few times that helps a bit the cold for a little while afterward but not to long . .

I have had that exact issue. I've just been taking pain killers and doing light exercise. The gynae recommended it and it relieves pain for a bit. I feel I have to almost force myself due to the pains everywhere in my body but it works a bit for me. Although i think that the exercise just takes my mind off of it. See how you go and good luck!

My pain is escalating and I'm in the same boat with not wanting to add heat. I had a warm rather than hot bath with a nice bath bomb the other day which was soothing but not long lasting. Think it will just be a case of using more painkillers.

Yep it really is hellish in the summer. I'm currently waiting for painkillers to kick in, in a boiling flat, window open, hot water bottle at my back, hot wheat bag at the front, cold wet flannel round my neck, wet hair, sipping iced water. A few people seem to feel cold or ice helps their pain but for me that creates much more pain. Only thing I can say is while my pain is moderately bad I'm currently just using a warm wheat bag but once the pain is debilitating I need heat pads and hot water bottle really hot for any relief. A fan, cold flannels etc help balance it out a tiny bit.
