Pain relief
I find a hot bath as hot as u can tack it works for me only for a short while tho wish u a good recovery
I take cocodamol on the first day of pain, then on the next day when I can’t handle the pain any longer i take an anti-inflammatory called Naproxen with omeprazole to protect my stomach from ulcers (this means i can resume more of my daily routine) i also use hot water bottle and have lots of very hot baths with a muscle relaxer bubble bath at the same time. Hope this helps xx
What strength co codamol?
Think it might be 500mg
I take two 30mg/500 and an ibruprofen at night but during the day take the less dosage ones as the 500 knock me out x
No, I’ve had severe pain for 10 years, i had my first gynae appointment then an internal scan which showed nothing so now they want to do investigation laparoscopy as they think i have Endo or a hormonal imbalance x
Will do xx
Hiya
I take an enzyme called Serrapeptase, it's wonderful but I wouldn't recommend taking it as you're too close to your surgery. I've read it's good to take afterwards as helps with the healing process but check its ok it hit her medications. Other than that on my flare up days I have a warmed up wheat bag or as others have said a hot bath but with magnesium or Dead Sea salts. Dragon claw gel is also good. I hardly take pain relief now, if I do for severe flare ups might take tramadol, cocodomol and very rarely naproxen only after meals.
Good luck with your surgery.
I haven’t been diagnosed with endo.. only a tilted uterus but I’ve found Lorecets to help me a ton! Sodium naproxen hardly touched my pain. Mines been so bad that I’ll collapse to the floor, cry and sometimes throw up and those have helped me.
One Mefanamic Acid and Two cocodomols (over the counter) plus heat packs if you can get them! The only thing that ever seems to work🙄
I’m on 30/500mg of co-codamol 2 tablets x 4 a day, 30mg of amitriptyline at night, 250g of mefenamic acid twice a day and 500mg at night. They also have me on the pill but getting the coil when I get my laparoscopy and I also use tramadol when the pains bad. Been on morphine in the past but there trying to keep me away from morphine and tramadol. I suffer with IBS alongside this and on two other medications for this.
Its crazy, i have endo stage 4/ but i had a surgery last year in july and i got a reset all clean. But to be honets never had any super bad pain, only sometimes during my period , and just by taking as soon as i stared feeling the symtoms ill would take alieve “ just one pill 250 mg and it was good for all day and night long. Because if I didn’t I will start throwing up nonstop , fever and weak not to much of a pain tho.
Another supporter of mefenamic acid here, combined with hedex extra strength (co-codamol makes me feel sick) and my trusty hot water bottle. Try to keep mobile too even though It doesn't seem possible sometimes Xx
