My name is vicki i have suffered daily with severe pain in my stomach, left side, back, kidneys, uretha(burning when weeing) and agony opening my bowels. Also currently lost three children with no explanation but i am lucky enough to have two beautiful children. Periods very painful and heavy but every two months.
I have had surgery yesterday a laparascopy and my surgeon has told me i have endometriosis i am currently researching the condition and found this chat room, where i think i will be able to understand my condition and hopefully be able to relate and support other women.
I am currently in alot of pain and wondered if these feelings after this surgery are normal. I am a bit dizzy, breathless, temp, pain but also burning pain in stomach and pain in right shoulder is this normal?
Thanks for any reply vicki x

Please report any post op symptoms that you are concerned about to your doc, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. You might feel that you are bothering them unnecessarily but I think it’s always best to err on the side of caution. The dizziness and shoulder pain at this stage would be entirely normal but the other things you’ve mentioned warrant a call to your doc. Xxx
Hi vicki, 7 days ago I had my first lap which diagnosed endo. All my knowledge on the condition I have had to research myself!! This website is amazing if you ever need any advice.
A lot of your symptoms I believe are normal. When I woke up I couldn’t stop shivering or shaking and I was sooo dizzy, for longer than in the best when I’ve had anaesthetic! It’s no harm ringing the ward you was discharged on or asking your GP to give you a phone back.
The first 24-48 hours I was so breathless and had an awful pain in my ribs and shoulder (this is from the gas and for me it’s the WORST part of recovery!). Keep trying to move around and walk a little to get the gas out. Peppermint capsules, peppermint tea or strong peppermints make you burp like crazy which releases the gas. They was my saviour for the shoulder pain but it does pass before you know it.
Hope you’re dealing with you diagnosis well and if you ever need anything, this forum is full of amazing ladies who will support you, answer any questions and give advice. I wish you a quick recovery ❤️
