I am new to my endometriosis journey as I am waiting for a laparoscopy. However, I was wondering whether people have a week before they are due on where they bleed on and off, their hormones are all over the place and pain can vary from severe to non existent? I am also extremely fatigued and feel like all of this is normal but as I am new, I am still try to understand my periods as they change each month. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you x

Hi Em

I hope you’re having a good day? I used to have this, it was really frustrating. Irregular bleeding is a part of Endo, I believe this happens due to the level of estrogen dropping and progesterone increasing. I don’t know why it happens though.

Hi!

Thank you for you message, that makes me think it is all linked to endo so just go to hope I have my laparoscopy soon. I’m currently In a&e as I couldn’t move this morning with my pains so fingers crossed I hear something soon!x

I ended up having an emergency laparoscopy due to a ruptured cyst on my left ovary so not the best but I received my endometriosis diagnosis but need another specialist laparoscopy in a few months to remove the endometriosis so it’s a bit of a long winded process but I’m getting there! Thank you x

I get this. I bleed anywhere from 8 days before my expected period then have my period and then fine until after I ovulate again. I’ve had ultrasounds ct scan and been examined twice and nothing. I have been told possibly hormonal but I often think I I have endo. I am having a lap due to removing a tube so I’m hoping maybe they’ll see the endo
