Anyone else on diclofenac for the pain of endo? I'm on those and co codomal 30/500mg. They make me really spaced out and my head feels really strange I can't explain it it's not sore but just feels light or something? I read it's a common side effect but just wondering if anyone else was the same x

Pain killers
Codeine/cocodamol is the only painkiller that I've tried that helps with my pain. I get awful lower back & hip pain. I get really spaced on it so I just take it at bed time which also helps me get to sleep. I'm not sure I could function taking it during the day. (Are you aware it's addictive?)
Diclofenac is an anti inflammatory (nsaid) and I can't tolerate any nsaid. They cause my stomach to become really irritable and I get mouth ulcers. I don't really find it does much for the pain either.
There are lots of other pain killers though. Is that all the dr has offered you?
The co codomal was all that was helping as they prescribed me loads of other ones that were for mild pain but they weren't working since it wasn't mild pain I was going through. Then I got given diclofenac to take along with it and now I've been taken them for so long they aren't effective anymore x
It can be so hard to be something. Codeine is an opiate so it's bound to make you a bit spaced. I actually find it quite pleasant! 😂
What kind of pain is it you're having? I've just started getting acupuncture, apparently it can really help, though I've only had one session so yet to see any benefit.
I hope you manage to find something to help. X
Just really severe cramps been told surgery might help me so I've to go for another scan then I'll be booked in for surgery. I've had so many different painkillers prescribed and I had tranexamic acid doesn't matter how light my period is it's still absolutely agony. My periods are so light now with the pill I'm on but doesn't make any difference to the severity of pain x
I used to take feminax ultra and its excellent. Doesnt have a spaced out feeling at all. The same tablets from your gp are called naproxen 250mg which works out cheaper than buying the feminax ultra but the same thing x
