Infection? Warning photos.

All my wounds are doing really well but I noticed that one is more red than the others... it still hasn’t had it stitch dissolved yet... the one on the right has healed better it seems.

I don’t know if it’s due to the stitch not coming away yet or if I’m just over worrying...

It doesn't look that bad to me but I'm not a medic so I'm just going by my own body's healing. My incision looked way more gnarly than that. I was a bit unsure of mine about a week after my lap and went to my nurse in my GP practice who reassured me. Maybe you could pop down?

I’m in the health centre now :)

It’s just a little bit sore and it’s 3 weeks post lap so I’d rather just get it double checked

I’ve had it checked. It’s fine!

I was gona say looks good to me.

It took 7 weeks for my stitches

To come out, the belly button one pulled all the time but it just all of a sudden come out.

My gp told me that the specialists are talking 💩when they say 2 weeks to feel ok.

She has had 6 laps as she has endo and she says it took her 6-8 weeks each time to feel herself

Don’t worry it’s normal my are redder than that and have had them checked. They can take different amounts of time to dissolve also one went within 10days once and the other 2weeks I think. Am on day 8 since my last op and no signs of them dissolving yet and still crazy red and stabbing pains but my wounds are fine. Keep them clean dry and make sure you get air to them so they can breath and keep with the pain killers :) hope your ok xxx

I’m just over worrying I think. The left photo is the right side which is the redder one which has been worse since the very start.. obviously the way they stitched it or whatever.

It’s very easy to worry especially when google is around lol

It’s been 3 weeks post op and I thought by now they would be gone.. but nope! Lol

Yeh never google especially if u are a anxious person anyway coz it will literally tell u ur dying, ive learnt that over years.

Just makes me worse and it never been right!!!!

Have u tried relaxation exercises or yoga or pilates... one it will make u stronger and it will also give u mindfulness as all the sitting around doin not much ( coz if lap) will just give u to much time to think and that not a healthy thing.

Mayb read or watch films just thing that wont make u worry or google

Honestly the anxiety is so bad! I travel a lot with my job and only feel relaxed unless I’m an hour away from home because then if I’m ill it’s not so bad to get back :( anxious due to this condition. I’m back at work on Monday but working locally!

I know all about anxiety, my nan had it, my mum had it and unfortunately it been given to me to....

i was worse when i was younger. I am now 44 and have learnt to channel my anxiety with a little help from some low dose anti anxiety tablets.

Ive learnt eat clean, exercise but not high intensity as it just makes me hyper, i do relaxation exercise, ie yoga, pilates, stretching, strengthening, slow low impact that calms me.

I have gone gluten and dairy free given up alcohol( well most of time lol).

I do things i enjoy and that chills me.

I sleep alot and watch lots of films and read loads of books. My mind is overactive which mean im hyper and then i get anxious so i try to keep the mind calm. Mind is just as important as body.

I am 44 now and prob look better then ever, my body and mind is strong. Unfortunatly i still have ibs but il never not have that and i suffer with periods( which they think they missed endo in lap) but i decided to treat myself instead of keep letting dr poke me about.

Try to find ways to channel the anxiety.... u will find as u get older u care less anyway im much more “ i dont care what people think and im not doin things to please people anymore!”. That my thoughts and i wished id realised that when i was younger.

I know it’s so easy to worry! And think is this rite is this normal you feel like your going mental xxx

Took me 2 months to feel 100%. I would get sharp stabby pains in the middle of the night for a while were the muscles they pushed the camera through were still healing and my scar has only just started to fade to a light purple colour. My belly button one is invisible - I can't even see it. Takes time, be gentle to yourself - the DRs are off there head when they say 2 weeks, I had all except 1 stitch taken out as they wouldn't dissolve xx

My right side wound still feels wore I think it keeps rubbing on my clothes and my stitch hadn’t dissolved yet! All the rest have healed well my belly button still has a scab

in reply toKate345

My belly button was scabbed for a while and then one day it all just went invisible - but my left scar is very much a purple scar with little dents where the stitches where. It was red and itchy for a while, I used the amazonian balm from the Body Shop and it soothed and smoothed it within a few days. Now I just need some sunshine and I think it will even out in colour xxx
