Missing out due to pain....

Had a terrible week last week but pain seemed to be reducing at latter half of week so i decided to go away on my friends hen weekend to bath. Had a fab night in friday. Largely pain free. Too much to drink. Saturday afternoon early evening i was in lots of pain. Tried getting ready for night out. Hair done. Makeup done. Could barely stand up straight with the pain and couldnt face getting dressed. Taxis arrived and i had to bow out. 😢😭 painkillers still hadnt kicked in and so i had a night in with a hot water bottle. So annoyed at missing out. Embarrased at being like this in front of some of the people who hardly know me. Everyone was very supportive though. So grateful for good friends.

Hey, I know the feeling of missing out on stuff. I’m 19 and can’t go to parties or into town at weekends for a night out due to constant bloating and some sort of pain which ranges from dull ache to severe during my period. My friends don’t understand that much and think it’s just an excuse I use when it’s not.

Oh no. Its hard if friends dont understand. I cried and talked to my friends properly for the first time about this on friday when i was drunk. Thats why i find this forum so helpful. Have you been diagnosed or having any treatment?

I’ve tried a lot of differeng things like painkillers, heat, baths but nothing helps. I am currently lay in bed nearly crying in pain as it’s my first day. My best friend isn’t supportive or helpful. I’m waiting for a lap but if I do have endo, I think it might be spreading or getting worse x

It could possibly have been the alcohol that caused a flare up i have read about it and i drank last weekend and was in agony the next day its so horrible having to cancel plans last min constantly due to sudden pain

Hi lyn84. We must stop meeting like this 🤣🤣🤣 yes the alcohol did occur to me. I thought it may be due to the painkillers all week and a binge drink on top which i knew wasnt sensible but soooo sick of missing out. Think i irritated my gut. It was similar to ovulation pains i get but a few days early.
