Yeah I get this all the time but it’s more common when I’m going through ovulation. I don’t know what is causing it but it could be my ovaries or cysts bursting. Xx
Thankyou for your reply. I have just had my period, so 3 days post but I’m still getting these pains along with cramping. It’s my first ‘normal’ period since being 14 years old, as I’ve been on progesterone for the pain. Xx
I get this at all points of my cycle (every day), in my abdomen, pelvis and hips. It can take you by surprise and, for me, there's no real point taking painkillers as the pain lasts for a few seconds and may then come back again immediately or a few hours later!
Thankyou for your reply. This is exactly the same as what I am feeling. I have got them for years but recently they have been almost everyday. Does it cause a sudden hot sweat too? I can be stood up teaching and I have to sit down for a few minutes to recover.

This sounds very familiar. I get very, very bloated and uncomfortable around ovulation time and get intense, sharp pain (feels like a stab or a jolt) that comes on very suddenly either on one side or both sides. Sometimes it's so bad that if I'm standing, I need to sit down or bend over to lean on something. After reading some of these posts, it does make me wonder if I have endo....?
