I had to go to A&E yesterday because my stomach pain was so bad. The doctors think it's probably endometriosis and said I might need surgery. How long was it from being diagnosed to actually having the surgery for you all?
Many thanks xx

For a 100% positive diagnoses you need to a diagnostic laparoscopy. To get surgery, first you'll need to see a gynaecologist. From seeing a gynaecologist to getting surgery, times differ for everyone but most times it's within 12 months.
Hi From initial consultation with gynaecologist to surgery will be 4 weeks. They cannot be sure it's endometriosis until laparoscopy is performed. I'm due to have mine next tuesday and any endometriosis found ill be removed during the operation where possible
hi yes it is. One of the hospitals I could pick from was the nhs but through spire regency which is a private hospital in my local area. I'm having a polyp removed from.my uterus as well which might be why my op is sooner. Hope you only have a short wait xx😊
that would be why, my lap was done through the nhs but at a private hospital and I waited 7 weeks(?) for my op, currently waiting for a nhs referral to see another gynae but this time at an nhs hospital and have already been waiting 5 weeks and haven’t heard a sausage! Hoping not to have to wait too much longer, fingers crossed for your op! Hope everything goes to plan xx 😘
My surgery was very quick through the NHS 2.5 weeks emergency laparoscopy my pain was so intense I needed the surgery as I couldn't stand upright or drive only diagnosed through the laparoscopy with endometriosis.
